Reason # 372 to Love Daddies — Spinning
My three-year-old Peanut scooted into the kitchen on her knees while my husband and I were talking one morning.
Peanut: “Do you wanna feel this?”
Daddy: “Sure. Feel what?”
Peanut: “Wait. Feel this while I spin!”
She spun herself around and around in circles on the tile floor, giggling as she went.
Peanut: “Feel that? Isn’t this fun?!!” she giggled.
Mommy: “Peanut, we can’t feel that. Only you can because you’re the one spinning,” I explained.
Peanut: “But the whole HOUSE is spinning! Here. Feel it this time!”
And around and around she went again.
Daddy: “WHOA!!!! The house IS spinning!! exclaimed my husband as he pretended to stumble around the kitchen. “You’re right, Peanut, this is fun!!”
Then Daddy and daughter both “fell” to the floor in a heap of shared giggles.
I love Daddies.
I just absolutely LOVE this post. Daddies definitely do stuff like this, whereas I feel like Mommies don’t. Great memory for always, someday he will spin her at her wedding. 🙂
Oh Ashley, that thought makes me all sappy!! 🙂
