What would you do with $100?
What would you do with $100?
This was the question posed to my second grade son on his 100th day of school. I like to think of myself as a decent parent, raising her children with good values. I like to, but then I see things like this and I wonder…
In case you can’t read that, it says:
“Save for 4,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 more dollars and buy a toy store and a Lego death star, and maybe a star destroyer.”
Since we frequently talk about money in terms of “Death Star dollars” to represent anything that costs $400, I know he knows how much that item costs. I don’t know how he allots the spending of the 25 extra zeroes, though.
Is that his valuation of another Lego Star Wars toy and some prime real estate?
Perhaps it reflects the value of an actual star destroyer?
I think it must be the cost of transporting the Lego death star in the actual star destroyer to the toy store located on some prime real estate…on the planet Naboo.
At least he’s on board for the saving up part, right?
This made me laugh out loud! Love it! He clearly knows exactly what he wants, exactly what it will cost and exactly how much he will have to save (after he gets that first $100, of course) to get it. I would say he is learning a lot so far this year! 😉
